Marriage License Applications

To get married in Ocean City, Maryland, you will need to obtain a marriage license for Worcester County, Maryland.

Applications for a Worcester County Marriage license can be obtained and filed at the office of Clerk of Circuit Court for Worcester County.

• Hours for applying are 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Please remember to allow time for applying.
• Only one person needs to apply.
• The fee for a marriage license application is $35.00. Fee must be paid in CASH ONLY. No checks will be accepted.
• A driver's license or birth certificate for both the bride and groom will need to be presented at time of application (Copies not accepted).
• Social Security Numbers for both the bride and groom will also be required.
• If either party is divorced or if the bride resumes her maiden name, documentation of the same must be supplied at the time of application.
• If either party has a deceased spouse, you will need to know the exact date and place of death for the application.
• If you are under 18 years of age, please call for information.
• You must wait until after 6:00 a.m. on the second calendar day after you apply for the license before you can be married and you must be married in Worcester County.
• The license is valid for 6 months from the date of issue.
